Every year the chorus selects a Barbershopper of the Year and he is presented with the BOTY plaque. On Monday evening the 2016 recipient of the award was announced and we congratulate Bruce Pellowe and thank him for his contributions to the organization. So, what is the Barbershopper of the Year, one who exemplifies the following traits:
Promotes the Barbershop a cappella style vocal harmony and the education of the members and the public in music appreciation and barbershop harmony.
Strives to project a positive attitude at all times.
Actively supports a wide variety of barbershopping opportunities such as pick-up quartetting, gang singing, section practices, etc.
Supports all chorus activities whether they are singing or social.
Has played an important role in the past year to bring attention to the Entertainers Chorus and to improve the overall health of the chapter.
Has demonstrated continuous support to the members and leadership of the chorus throughout the past year.
