The Entertainers are a group of men singing Barbershop harmony a cappella.
Welcome! If you love singing, you've come to the right place.
See our EVENTS page for info on our upcoming concert October 22, 2016
Every night is GUEST night at the Entertainers. If you have ever had the desire to sing 4 part harmony in the Barbershop style—this is for you! Come out and discover which part suits your voice and enjoy the brotherhood of Barbershop.
Our rehearsal hall is at the Syl Apps Youth Center, 475 Iroquois Shore Rd., Oakville in the auditorium (entrance at the far north east end (back) of the building).
Now in our 48th year, The Entertainers provide 'a cappella' vocal presentations within the Halton and Peel regions in both chorus and quartet format for a wide variety of events and celebrations, public and private. (See Events page). A broad (and ever-changing) repertoire of over 30 songs assures an appropriate program for any occasion, civic or corporate, private celebration or fund-raising activity.
We are committed to two immediate goals: (1) Raising the quality of our presentations in both sound and entertainment value, and (2) increasing our membership. In both cases we are on the move and placed second in Ontario District in April of this year 2016.
Every rehearsal night is 'open house' at The Entertainers! If you have an interest in checking us out, come any Monday evening at 7:00 pm to the Syl Apps Youth Center, 475 Iroquois Shore Rd., Oakville. There is loads of parking, and the entrance is at the far north east end of the building. You are welcome to visit as often as it takes to see if we can satisfy your musical interests and appetite.
Credentials and expertise? Not important! If you can carry a tune and love singing enough to commit to weekly rehearsals and 15+ presentations a year, we'd love to meet you! You will be easily 'placed' for voice range, and provided with learning CD's to get you 'on the risers' in short order. Our culture is about enjoying the healthful benefits of regular, vigorous singing, while bringing the joy of music to others. Come and see for yourself ... any Monday evening.
